MVC_40th_LogoAs Northeast Georgia’s oldest and largest marketing, advertising and public relations agency, MVC was founded in 1973 as Morton & Associates, a sole proprietorship with two employees, and incorporated in 1982. By 1994, Morton & Associates had grown to five associates, client billings had doubled, and the agency had carved a niche as a leading business-to-business agency specializing in poultry, agrimarketing and utilities.

Bucking a trend for most ad agencies, Morton & Associates still retained many of its original clients from the early 1970s. In 1994, Morton & Associates was purchased by John Vardeman, of the KellyVardeman agency, and became Morton Vardeman & Associates, with six employees. In 1999, Tina Carlson, longtime Creative Director of Morton & Associates, became a partner in the agency, changing the name to Morton Vardeman & Carlson.

Today, MVC employs a staff of 13. We conduct day-to-day operations from our office at 200 Broad Street, Gainesville, GA.

“From 40 years comes wisdom, but it also provides perspective. Our staff of seasoned professionals understands the big picture of branding, marketing and advertising from start to finish.” – John Vardeman, MVC President

“The ability to tell a story, no matter the mode or method, is at the very foundation of what we do. And while the preferred delivery method may change week to week and year to year, our clients rely on us to tell their story well.  And what could be better than that?” – Tina Carlson, MVC Creative Director & Vice President

“If you always put your customers first and effectively take care of their marketing needs, the rest will follow.” – Patrick Ceska, Senior Account Executive & Shareholder at MVC

“MVC gave me my first taste of agency life 14 years ago and that experience stuck with me through three other agency jobs in Atlanta. I returned to MVC with additional knowledge and experience in marketing to bring to clients, and I’m thankful that I had a strong foundation to build on then and now!” – Tiffany Fessler, Senior Account Executive & Public Relations Strategist at MVC

“What struck me when I came to work at MVC was the culture of creativity and fresh ideas that came out during each project. Whether it is logo design, branding, advertising campaigns or writing, the creativity is always flowing.” – Jeff Butler, Public Relations Account Executive at MVC

“I’ve always loved the Maya Angelou quote ‘…people will never forget how you made them feel.’ I think the atmosphere at MVC makes people feel comfortable — whether you’re a client or a co-worker. Creativity flourishes when everyone feels at ease.” – Diane Speight, Art Director at MVC

“There is a craftsmanship to great design that can take years to cultivate. That’s what you’ll find with Morton Vardeman & Carlson.” – Martina Henderson, Designer at MVC

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” – Bryan Nicoll, Director of Internet Development
